You shouldn't be languish
Brooding and moping
Get rid of despair and reach your goal

Kepada Seorang Hamba

Hati meringis
Melihat tuan berlaku bengis
Kepada seorang hamba yang sedang menangis
Merintih sembari mengais

Kepada seorang hamba
Janganlah engkau merana
Merenung dan bermuram durja
Tepislah asa raihlah cita

Small Bead

Twigs fall from a piece of wood
Leaving the wood frame
Weathered and withered
Until it is swept to be a dust

Small bead is cornered on the table there
Stay alone no one flock to greet
Until someone looks at there
Then say hello and laugh

Manik Kecil

Dahan jatuh dari sebongkah kayu
Meninggalkan pigura berbahan kayu
Lapuk dan layu
Hingga tersapu menjadi debu

Manik kecil disudut meja sana
Berdiam sendiri tak satupun kawanan menyapa
Hingga seseorang menoleh disana
Kemudian menyapa dan bercanda tawa

A Thick Night

The night was thick to wash the moon
Together with the Bogor wind, through the dream
With blowing wind stroking the Damar tree
Swallowed by cold mist and cryptic dew

Look at the nightstand on the corner, which is worn and weathered
Dimmed with the child who was sit and looking down
In fact the child was daydream waiting for the sun
Being alone thought about tomorrow

Pekat Malam

Pekatnya malam membasuh rembulan
Bersama angin Bogor, menembus angan
Yang bertiup membelai pohon Damar
Ditelan kabut dingin dan berembun samar

Lihatlah nakas disudut sana, yang usang dan lapuk
Meredup bersama sang anak yang duduk merunduk
Nyatanya sang anak merenung menunggu mentari
Sendiri menyepi memikirkan esok hari





*At the time, i wrote those poems while i was in Bogor. With a Yellow Book that worn out and with mon endroit préféré: La chambre 3017. Je veux revenir à ce moment, ça me manque.
